The Community
I created the My Mini Panther brand back in 2017 and since then a wonderful community of black cat lovers from all over the globe has grown.
We are lovers of all cats but probably due to the reputation thrust upon black cats, we have united in our love and passion for our wonderful fluffy friends with black fur.
When putting this blog post together I thought that the best place to find out ‘why are black cats so sweet’ was Facebook.
The My Mini Panther Facebook community is always very vocal and passionate when it comes to their pets.

I love both my cats, a mini panther included. They are just too precious and funny too. Never a dull moment. In fact, my mini panther is my acrobat kitty 😹😹😹

My Final Thoughts
As you can see when answering ‘why are black cats so sweet’ it’s a very subjective question.
All animals are sweet in their own way and we all love our pets very dearly.
What I will say and this is probably from a biased point of view is that black cats seem to have something special about them.
My research for this blog has pointed towards the possible genetic differences between black cats and others and that the gene that makes them black, may actually boost their health.
Our American Shorthair called Coco has so many amazing traits that wow us on a daily basis.
His intelligence is mind-blowing and we can’t help but point out just how sweet he is every single day.
The fact that he wants to be with Yurena and me everywhere we are in the house and the fact that he sleeps in between us every night is so cute.
Until recently, I have to admit that I haven’t really been a cat person. I would always pet cats but never saw myself living with one.
Having Coco in my life has really opened my eyes to the fact that living with a cat can be a truly amazing experience.
Coco is very open that he needs and wants us and that is one of the sweetest things that I have ever seen…
